Pirates of Suttons Bay | 4288 x3216 pixels | photography | In August 2012, my family and grandma went on a vacation to Sutton's Bay, Michigan. This image captures not only the fun activities that we did there, but also the beautiful nighttime setting. This photo captures the natural color, movement, and unity as the detail helps draw the eye past the moon, ship, and jetting land. While we were there, every evening we would take a walk on the pier to watch the sunset. I waited until the perfect moment that the rising moon was directly in front of the slowly moving ship.
