Frankfort Lighthouse | 4288 x3216 pixels | photography | When my family went on vacation to Frankfort, Michigan in July 2012, there was a very long pier at the beach that leads out to a historic lighthouse. Frankfort North Breakwater lighthouse was built in 1873. This image uses the compositional elements of the Rule of Thirds and leading lines, as well as natural value and blending in the misty blue color. As color is an important element in this photo, I feel the lighthouse stands out from the rest of the background.
